Liner tray
The inner skin of a built-up wall.
Profile cross-section — schematic, not to scale
Overview
In a built-up wall the liner tray does three jobs: it forms the internal surface, it holds the insulation between its webs and — sealed correctly at every joint — it is the air barrier for the whole elevation.
That last job is the one most often lost on site. L100 is supplied with the sealing tape system and a joint detail that makes a continuous air barrier achievable by a sheeting crew rather than a specialist, which is the difference between a designed airtightness figure and a measured one.
The tray spans horizontally between columns and receives the outer sheet through spacer bars, so the two skins are thermally separated.
Insulation sits between the webs — no separate support system required.
Supplied with a sealing system a sheeting crew can actually execute continuously.
Spacer bars break the path between inner and outer skins.

Finishes
Coating choice is driven by exposure and expected service life rather than by colour. Both are confirmed with your quotation.
