VANKKA manufactures metal roofing and facade systems in Finland — rolling, cutting, folding and finishing coated steel in our own facility, and supplying it to projects across Europe and North America.

Finnish construction sets a demanding baseline. A roof here has to carry months of standing snow, release it safely, survive meltwater running under it in March, and hold its geometry through an annual temperature swing of a hundred degrees. Every part of the detail — seam geometry, clip spacing, ventilation path, fastener specification — is decided by those conditions rather than by a catalogue.

That baseline is what we export. A system designed for a Finnish winter is not merely adequate on a milder site; it has margin. It is also why our technical conversations start with pitch, span and exposure rather than with colour.

We are a manufacturer, not a contractor and not a merchant. We do not install roofs, and we do not stand behind work we did not do. What we stand behind is what leaves our lines — and the documentation, drawings and technical support that let a competent installer put it on correctly.
