Nothing interrupts this roof: four planes, one ridge, one covering, running out to a continuous eaves line on every side. The viewpoint sits above the ridge, which is the only way to see how little the plane is broken up.
There is no shelter here — the field runs to the horizon and the exposure is the same all the way round. A hipped form has no tall gable wall standing into the wind, and this one is turned to the open ground on all four faces.
