Overview

The verge is the profile of the roof as seen from the road, and it is also the edge the wind gets under first. Ours are folded with a return that grips the barge and a drip that keeps water off the gable wall.

Girth, projection and the depth of the return are all adjustable — a heavier verge suits a large roof plane, a slim one keeps a small building looking light.
