Overview

A mono-pitch roof has no apex to shed pressure over — it has a high edge that takes the full force of the prevailing wind. The trim is formed with a deeper upstand and a longer return than a conventional ridge for exactly that reason.

Increasingly specified: mono-pitch roofs have become the default for contemporary Nordic housing and small commercial buildings.
