Profile cross-section — schematic, not to scale

Overview

Flatlock removes the rib entirely. Panels interlock on all four edges and lie flat, so the surface is articulated by nothing but the joint lines between them — a quiet, precise finish for buildings where a profiled roof would be too agricultural a gesture.

The system runs on roofs and walls alike, which lets a facade fold up over an eaves line and continue across the roof plane in the same module and the same coating. Panel sizes are set out per project rather than taken from stock, and the layout can be aligned to openings and setting-out lines on the elevation.

It asks more of the substrate than a profiled sheet does — a flat panel is unforgiving of a deck that is not flat — and more of the installer. Specified and laid properly, it is the most controlled surface we make.

Applications

  • Architectural roofs and facades
  • Cultural and civic buildings
  • Curved and faceted geometry
  • Dormers, bays and detail areas
01

Continuous surface

No ribs or seams standing proud — the plane is broken only by the joint grid between panels.

02

Roof and wall in one module

The same panel and layout continue from facade to roof without a change of language.

03

Set out per project

Panel dimensions are produced to the elevation drawing, not selected from a stock size.
