Overview
Large flat areas of thin steel show every imperfection in the substrate as a shimmer across the surface — oil-canning. Rib 12 solves it with a shallow micro-rib at close centres, which stiffens the sheet enough to hold a flat plane without introducing the visual weight of a real profile.
From a few metres away the elevation reads as flat. Up close, the rib gives the surface a fine grain that catches raking light — particularly effective in matt coatings on north-facing elevations.
It is our most specified wall profile for commercial refurbishment, where the substrate is rarely as flat as the drawing suggests.
