Overview
The traditional standing seam, closed with a seaming machine on site. Panels are prefabricated to length and supplied in steel, aluminium or zinc.
Seam height is 27 mm across all materials. Effective panel widths run 325–585 mm depending on material and batch width, with lengths from 0.7 to 12 m.
Material choice changes the working limits: minimum forming temperature ranges from −15 °C to 5 °C, thermal movement from 0.012 to 0.022 mm/m/°C, and maximum panel length from 10 to 30 m.
Applications
- Architectural and civic roofs
- Curved and complex geometry
- Facade cladding
